Finding the SSID on your iPhone can be a useful way to connect to a specific wireless network. The SSID, or Service Set Identifier, is the name of a wireless network or WIFI.

In this blog post, we will explain how to easily find the SSID on your iPhone. By following these simple steps, you can quickly and easily connect to the wireless network of your choice.

What is SSID on iPhone?

The SSID on an iPhone is the name of the wireless network that the phone is connected to. It is also known as the Service Set Identifier.

Every wireless network has a unique SSID, and this allows devices to identify and connect to the correct network. For example, if you are trying to connect to your home Wi-Fi network, the SSID might be something like “MyHomeNetwork”. By knowing the SSID of a wireless network, you can easily connect your iPhone to it.

The default SSID name for every iPhone Hotspot is your first and “‘s iPhone”. For example if my name is Danny on my iPhone, then my iPhone’s hotspot SSID name will be Danny’s iPhone.

How to Find the SSID on iPhone

To find the SSID (service set identifier) on an iPhone, follow these steps:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap “Wi-Fi” in the list of options.
  3. Look for the “Wi-Fi” network that you are currently connected to, and look next to it for the SSID name. It will be listed next to the “Wi-Fi” icon.

Alternatively, you can also find the SSID by looking at the name of the wireless network that appears at the top of the screen next to the signal strength indicator.

Note: If you are not currently connected to a Wi-Fi network, you will not be able to see the SSID in the “Settings” app. In this case, you can try connecting to a Wi-Fi network and then follow the steps above to find the SSID.

How to Change the SSID of your iPhone Hotspot

To change the SSID of your iPhone’s hotspot, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the “Settings” app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on “Personal Hotspot” in the “Cellular” section.
  3. Tap on “Wi-Fi Password” to change the password for the hotspot.
  4. To change the SSID, tap on “Wi-Fi Password” and then enter the new SSID in the “Wi-Fi Password” field.

Keep in mind that changing the SSID of your iPhone’s hotspot will also change the name that other devices see when they are searching for available wireless networks. This can make it easier for you to identify your hotspot when you are trying to connect other devices to it.
